This relatively small home was designed for a retired librarian who wanted her new house to blend in with the environment and be a real sun catcher. She also wanted to be able to see out windows in multiple directions to allow her to feel connected with the garden and beautiful surroundings. It’s simple and graceful roof design gently slopes up to create a vaulted ceiling that peaks at 14’ in the Living and Dining Room, with clerestory windows to allow for ample natural daylight deep into the space. Our client is very happy because the 14’ makes her feel petite (she’s tall)!
