Shotgun Creek

The first thing I recall our client saying about the design of his new house was, “I want a round house.” We thought to ourselves, “You don’t hear that every day.” (Sweet!) Our client also wanted to go as green as possible, and have the house blend in with the country setting. Located in the Mohawk Valley, it consists of the main house along with a detached 2-story studio that’s half-submerged in the hill it sits on. The project was able to achieve Gold certification thru the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.
